The family Cichlidae, which includes all of the fishes commonly known as cichlids, have hobbyist all over the globe wild about them there are over 2000 specimens of Cichlidae recorded on file today and there is said to be many more with the hybrid and genetic breeding that is going on in the hobby today. Given their sensational colors, strict personalities and awesome displays of aggression it is easy to understand why people would get so carried away with them. Cichlids can be found in North America, Central America, South America, Africa, and Asia they have stretched far over the centuries.

Cichlid Paradise (CP) supports all efforts to keep the natural habitats of cichlids healthy. We raise awareness about our cause. We will help to keep lakes and rivers that cichlids dwell in clean. Cichlids all over the world depend on very clean water to survive and in the past few decades human deceases, pollution, and over fishing are causing species of the Cichlidae family to go extinct. We fight this from happening by raising money for conservation funds and providing education about the individual species and their natural habitats.
